Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the GatherPlan iOS app and related support communications. GatherPlan does not require account registration, login credentials, or a user profile system. We do not operate a public feed, chat, follower network, or content-sharing platform.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Content You Create (Stored Locally)

When you use GatherPlan, the following information is stored on your device:

• Family gathering events (titles, dates, locations, notes, status)
• Preparation tasks (names, assignees, due dates, notes, status)
• Supply and shopping items (names, categories, quantities, purchase status)
• Photos you capture or import for events, tasks, supplies, and moments
• Voice notes recorded within the app
• Event summaries and memory card exports you generate
• Points balance and usage history within the app
• App preferences and onboarding completion status

2.2 Information Processed by Apple

If you make an in-app purchase, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details, billing address, or Apple ID credentials. Apple may provide us with transaction confirmation necessary to credit Points to your in-app balance.

2.3 Device & Technical Information

• Push notification token: If you enable notifications, the App may register for Apple Push Notification service (APNs). Any device token is stored locally on your device. GatherPlan does not operate a user account backend that receives your personal content.
• App Tracking Transparency: On supported iOS versions, we may request your permission before any cross-app tracking. Tracking is optional and not required to use the App.
• Crash and diagnostic data: Apple may collect anonymized crash logs and performance data through standard iOS mechanisms if you have opted in to share analytics with app developers.

2.4 Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not require your name, email, phone number, or home address to use the App
• We do not collect precise location data or GPS coordinates
• We do not access your contacts, calendar, or messages
• We do not sell your personal information

3. How We Use Information

We use information only to provide and improve GatherPlan's core features:

• Display and manage your family gathering plans, tasks, and supply lists
• Store and organize photos, voice notes, and event memories on your device
• Generate event summaries and memory card posters from your content
• Schedule local reminders for upcoming gatherings (with your permission)
• Credit and deduct in-app Points for eligible features after a verified purchase
• Respond to support requests you send to us voluntarily

We do not use your content for advertising profiling, public display, or social distribution.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your gathering data, photos, and voice recordings are stored in the App's secure sandbox on your device using iOS local storage (UserDefaults and the app's Documents directory). Media files you add are kept within the app container and are not uploaded to our servers.

Because data is stored locally, your information remains on your device unless you delete it, export it (e.g., saving a memory poster to Photos or sharing an image), or uninstall the App. We recommend keeping your device passcode or biometric lock enabled and maintaining regular device backups through iCloud or your preferred backup method.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. GatherPlan is not a social platform and does not share your content with other users.

Information may be shared only in these limited circumstances:

• With your direction: When you choose to save a memory poster to your photo library or use the iOS Share Sheet to send an exported image to another app or contact.
• With Apple: For App Store purchase processing, push notification delivery, and other services provided by Apple as part of the iOS platform.
• Legal requirements: If required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.

6. Device Permissions

GatherPlan requests optional device permissions only when needed for specific features:

You may deny any optional permission and continue using most App features. You can change permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

7. In-App Purchases

GatherPlan offers optional consumable in-app purchases called "Starter" packs that add Points to your in-app balance. There is no subscription and no membership tier. Points are virtual credits used only within GatherPlan and have no cash value outside the App.

Purchase history and refunds are managed by Apple in accordance with Apple's policies. For billing questions, contact Apple Support or visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

8. Children's Privacy

GatherPlan is a family utility app and may be used by parents and guardians to organize household gatherings. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your region) through account registration, because the App does not require accounts.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through a support email, please contact us and we will promptly delete such information.

9. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. Because GatherPlan stores data locally on your device, you can:

• Edit or delete events, tasks, supplies, photos, and voice notes within the App
• Revoke camera, photo, microphone, notification, or tracking permissions in iOS Settings
• Delete all App data by uninstalling GatherPlan from your device
• Contact us with privacy-related questions at the email below

Residents of the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and certain U.S. states may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws. We will honor valid requests to the extent required by law.

10. Data Retention & Deletion

Your content remains on your device until you delete it within the App or remove the App from your device. Points balance and usage records are stored locally and are removed when the App is uninstalled.

Support emails you send us are retained only as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry and maintain a reasonable support record.

11. International Users

GatherPlan is available internationally through the App Store. Because your data is stored on your device, it generally remains in your physical possession and under your control. If you contact us by email, your message may be processed in the country where our support team operates.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, legal requirements, or our practices. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
